We don’t just go through the motions, we train you and teach you how to train your dog using positive reinforcement. We spend time going over any issues. We practice ring etiquette and take the time to explain what is expected of you and your dog in the ring and why. We are also qualified judges and so will be able to explain what a judge is looking for. We are actively expanding our knowledge in different breeds by attending Breed Appreciation Days and encourage others to do the same.
We currently show our Mini Schnauzers at local Open shows and Championship shows across the country. If we are at the same show as you, we will be there to cheer you on. We train with you and show with you.
No matter your experience in dog showing, you are welcome to come along and pick up some tips to train your dog and perfect your handling skills.
Rackheath Village Hall, Norwich - Friday Evenings
Novice handlers at 7pm. Experienced Handlers at 8pm
We specialise in Ringcraft for beginners. If you have never shown before and want to learn how, we will spend time with you and run you through the basics. We will show you how to train your dog for the show ring and what is expected of you as a handler.
We have experience in showing many breeds of dogs and although we never claim to know everything about all breeds, if we are unsure of anything, we will research for you and contact breed specialists so that we can give you the best advice possible.

"These classes were a real find to me. Knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. Without their help my pup would be totally unruly."
Linda - GSP
"Both ladies most helpful!! Very perceptive in their observations and problem solving. Bringing fabulous experience of showing themselves and having a “can do” attitude!! Always available for questions and ever positive advice."
Joss - Labrador
"I took my puppy min pin to this group, the two ladies who run it are helpful , kind and generous with their time and knowledge. Without knowing me well they happily lent me a show lead as l couldn't find a small enough one. This was beyond anything l expected but was very pleased they helped. After a few shows my pup decided to play up a bit on the table, again time and advice was given and gratefully received. Fabulous club and Fabulous ladies. Very much appreciated their help would thoroughly recommend."
Sharron - Mini Pinscher
"I went here with my third show dog puppy and I was greeted by two friendly and welcoming ladies, who asked me what I wanted to work on. They then helped me to focus on the things I wanted to improve on, in my handling and my puppy training. Their wealth of experience gave me some top tips and things to focus on while I am in the ring at a show. I can highly recommend this ringcraft for new or experienced show dog people."
Kerry - Dogue de Bordeaux
"After doing puppy obedience classes with Emma and Kay I decided to give ringcraft a try. These wonderful ladies have helped me so much to gain confidence without pushing me to do a show - and I was so proud of myself when I did my first open show. I almost bottled out but held it together and really enjoyed it - and then entered my first championship show. A really big deal for me, but we did it! I was still racked with nerves but the ringcraft classes prepared us enough to go in the ring and give it a go. So to anyone who is anxious about showing, come to these classes. Everyone is so friendly and there’s no pressure whatsoever. I feel very lucky to have found such a warm and welcoming group. "
