IMDT - Institute of Modern Dog Trainers

What is the IMDT ?

We are very proud to say that Emma is a qualified IMDT Dog Trainer.

The Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT) is the leading education provider for Dog Trainers and Behaviourists and is a Registered Learning Centre for The Open College Network.  The founder of the IMDT, Steve Mann has over 30 years professional dog training experience, and is Author of the UK’s #1 best selling dog book, ‘Easy Peasy Puppy Squeezy’.

The IMDT is the only education provider to offer the externally accredited OCN 'Principles of Dog Training and Behaviour' Dog Training Qualification.

Why Use An IMDT Qualified Dog Trainer?

ALL IMDT Trainers have undergone a rigorous Assessment process to meet the high standards expected of any IMDT member.

Dog Owners have long understood the importance of using not only a highly trained and experienced Dog Trainer, but also a Trainer that adheres to a Strict Code of Ethics to ensure both Owner’s and Dog’s training needs and met and exceeded in a positive and effective way.

IMDT Members are practically Assessed on both their Dog and People training skills.

That's what Owners get from an IMDT Qualified Trainer, peace of mind that the IMDT logo is a kite-mark of quality, knowledge and understanding.

ALL IMDT Members have undergone a rigorous, practical assessment process to ensure they can deliver quality in four major areas of dog training:

  • Group Classes,
  • Home Visit Consultations,
  • One To One Training, and
  • Canine Behaviour Knowledge.

Each year all IMDT Trainers provide evidence that Continual Professional Development (CPD) is regularly maintained and expanded.

By booking an IMDT Member, you are booking a Trainer that has chosen to be put through an Assessment process second to none within the professional dog training and behaviour arena.
